Best High Chair For Small Spaces – The Hook On

I loooove this small high chair. We bought it 4 years ago as a travel high chair and to use at friend’s and family’s homes, but it’s easily one of the best high chairs for a small apartment, in my humble opinion. This is because it literally takes up zero footprint.

It is a hook on high chair that you attach to your kitchen counter, breakfast bar or dining table. Heck, I’ve even attached it to a coffee table! 👇

And since it’s portable, you can easily remove it and fold it up to take with you on vacation or to grandma’s house. It’s also machine washable. I mean, what mom doesn’t love that?!

The only limitation is that you can’t attach it to a glass table or a table with a lip. So if you don’t have either of those in your home, you’re golden! (I have rarely encountered this, anyway.)

It’s all around a great small high chair and number one in my book when it comes to saving space.

You can see what others are saying about it too by reading reviews here.

Of course, if you don’t have a counter or table to attach the high chair to this isn’t going to work. In this case, consider going with one of the next best high chairs for small spaces on my list.

Small Footprint High Chair

I like this floor chair by Hiccapop because it takes up such a small footprint, you’ll hardly notice it in your home.

You can use it on top of a dining chair or wherever makes sense for you to feed your child in a small space – kitchen floor, living room floor, etc.

One of the best things about this small high chair though (other than space saving), is that it’s portable. You can easily move it around your home or take it with you.

You can:

  • Fold it up and store it in a closet when you need it out of the way
  • Put it in your car to bring to friend’s homes
  • Use it to contain your baby anywhere in the house when you need a few minutes to get stuff done

Need to do your makeup?

Bring this high chair to the bathroom and buckle your little one in it right next to you with some baby toys that stick to the tray.

I can only see one downside with this “small footprint” high chair. If you are using it on the floor because you don’t have a dining chair, you’ll be bending down a lot. Over time, these repetitive motions could become hard on your back. Anyways, something to consider.

Maybe I’m wrong though because thousands of Amazon customers give it 5 stars. It’s also under $50 so it seems like a great buy to me.

Best Space Saver High Chair That Folds

This next space saver high chair is a more traditional style without being big and clunky.

The Graco Slim Snacker High Chair is actually a folding high chair. You can hide it in the closet or off in a corner between meals when you need to have the extra space.

This high chair is most similar to the Graco one that I have in my home, and I like that it is at a height that is comfortable for spoon feeding baby.

It can also be considered space saving because it has a built-in basket for storing all of baby’s feeding essentials. This is great if you’re short on kitchen cabinet space. Your child will collect lots of bibs, cups, plates and bowls through their feeding journey.

Best Small High Chair For Versatility

I’ve saved one of the best small high chairs for last. The Abiie Beyond high chair is a wooden high chair that will look beautiful in your home while not taking up too much space.

This high quality chair actually converts from a small high chair with tray to a regular chair that your child can use into adulthood.

I love this because it’s not just another piece of “baby junk” you eventually have to get rid of. (Did I mention there’s A LOT of that?!) You can eventually use it as a regular dining chair or perhaps a desk chair when your child is old enough to do homework.
